courtesy of Tom Fisch.com Growing up in Albany, NY, Tom won his first guitar in a raffle at a school bazaar when he was ten years old. That began a lifelong love and appreciation of music from a variety of genres. Tom says, “As the years went by, I found myself getting into singers and players like Doc Watson, James Taylor, Dan Fogelberg, Tony Rice, the Byrds, and traditional folk and country artists. My playing and writing were also greatly influenced by singer-songwriters such as Dave Mallett, John Prine, Steve Goodman, and Jonathan Edwards.” Tom entertained audiences for many years throughout the Northeast at colleges, clubs, coffeehouses, festivals and fairs. In 1991, Tom moved to Nashville, TN to further his songwriting career. He formed his own publishing company and his songs have been recorded by a number of artists, including the Oak Ridge Boys and Swiss country singer Erica Arnold. Tom continues to pitch his songs to other artists but his main focus now lies in his own career as a performer. In 2004, Tom relocated to Western North Carolina and it’s thriving acoustic music scene. With the backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains for inspiration, Tom and his music have found a comfortable place to call home. And wherever he performs, audiences continue to connect with the warm, appealing style, diverse range of material, and talent this seasoned performer brings to the stage."(Tom Fisch Bio web page http://tomfisch.com/bio.htm)

Special guest: Ella Mac Ella Mac Singer/ Songwriter/Entertainer I have been a performing artist since I was in my early teens. My love to sing and be a vocalist has always been a part of who I am. My involvement with music began in church and school, where I participated in choir and on many worship teams. After relocating to California and raising my children, my life changed dramatically. I began entertaining throughout the west coast with bands that played R&B, Blues, Rock, Hip Hop, and Jazz. I have entertained in the Biltmore Casino, Lake Tahoo, CA, Spring Break, Lake Havasu, NV, The Hop, City of Industry, CA, and all of the Red Lion Hotels throughout California. I relocated to Sonoma County in the heart of the wine country and there I began to perform with many great artists and musicians. Venues included many wineries, weddings, hotels, casinos, and country clubs. Lou’s Blues on pier 39 in San Francisco, Silverado Country Club, The Ritz Carlton, San Francisco, are just few locations. My band “Mac and the Groove” was a refreshing combination of professional musicians, who could play just about any style of music. At this point I had such a large repertoire and variety of music styles and I did not want to conform to one set genre. My CD “Ella Mac” is a combination of contemporary Blues, Jazz, R&B with a touch of Old School, and heart felt ballads that describe the many different kinds of “Love” one can experience in Life. Some of these were my own experiences. I had many lyrics and ideas that inspired me to create my own CD, which was produced in 2003. The ideas and artwork were my design and the Cover won 2nd place in the Sonoma Marin Fair for Professional Photography in 2003. I love to sing but even more I want my audience to feel the music and experience the song. I hope I can touch your heart, brighten your day, and get you excited about living.
